MCN Wins EContent 100 Recognition for Innovation in Mobile Search

(Business News & Technology News, 5 Dec 2008)

Mobile Content Networks has been named one of the Top 100 most influential companies by EContent Magazine, one of the respected sources for information about the digital content industry.

MCN's recognition by a panel of 14 judges who reviewed hundreds of companies comes at the conclusion of a remarkable year of global growth for the company.

In 2008, MCN:
- launched mobile content and commerce search services with more than 20 mobile operators and portals in Japan, Europe, and S. Asia;
- launched allwords, the mobile industry's most effective Pay-per-Click (PPC) content promotion programs providing the most direct, profitable connection between mobile users and content providers;
- extended its subscriber reach to over 300,000,000 mobile users worldwide

"We are delighted to be recognized for our achievements this year," says MCN CEO Marc Bookman. "Mobile digital content and commerce services generated more than $20 billion in revenue this year and is projected by Juniper Research to more than double in the next three years. MCN is perfectly positioned to help operators, portals, and content providers reach mobile users with the most advanced federated search platform, search merchandising, and content promotion solutions."

"MCN has joined the EContent 100 this year due to its position as a leader in federated mobile search and search merchandising," says Michelle Manafy, Editor-in-Chief at EContent. "Our judges recognized that MCN's 'made for mobile' solutions offer a direct, profitable connection between mobile subscribers and content providers and are creating new revenue opportunities for operators and portals worldwide."
