Fairchild Semiconductor Receives China Excellent Supplier Award from CEEA

(Business News & Technology News, 1 Dec 2008)

Fairchild Semiconductor has won a prestigious China Excellent Suppliers award from the China Electronics Enterprises Association (CEEA). Supplier companies were nominated by CEEA members for this prestigious award and were assessed and selected based on a diverse range of criteria. Nominated companies were scrutinized on their customer service systems, business reputation, scope of operations, growth internationally and their record on corporate social responsibility.

On the product side, CEEA's judging panel considered the strength of each company's product portfolio, with areas of focus in manufacturing and R&D reputation, quality control management, risk-prevention and ability to control costs and achieve economies-of-scale.

"We are very pleased the CEEA has recognized Fairchild by bestowing on us its Excellent Supplier award," comments Benjamin Tan, Fairchild's Regional Vice President of Sales, China and SEA. "It underscores the depth of knowledge and expertise the Fairchild engineering team brings to the design of our products, and it also clearly highlights our ongoing drive to provide the highest levels of customer service and support to China's electronics engineers."

Fairchild leverages its in-depth knowledge of its customers' needs, market trends and strong capabilities in semiconductor technology to develop innovative energy-efficient solutions for the electronics market. The company's solutions play an integral role in improving the environmental landscape.

The company works closely with its customers, today's leading electronic manufacturers, in China and around the world to fully understand and provide solutions to the power design challenges they are faced with. By doing this, Fairchild's products help to minimize the demand on the power grid and increase power efficiency, while meeting the demands of governmental regulations.

"Receiving the China Excellent Suppliers award from the CEEA further strengthens Fairchild's leadership position as The Power Franchise. Our strong product and technical knowledge, the implementation and maintenance of industry leading management systems coupled with long-standing partnerships with our China customers have contributed significantly to us winning this award," concludes Tan.
