Motorola's Innovation Center in Beijing Showcases Latest Industry Advances

Motorola Inc. recently opened its Innovation Center in Beijing, which showcases the company's latest products, technologies and solutions. Located at Motorola's Wangjing Campus in Beijing, the Innovation Center provides visitors with a unique opportunity to experience Motorola's vision of Media Mobility with a wide array of technologies, applications and products, presented through three demonstration zones. One highlights Content to the Consumer while the other two focus on Broadband Everywhere. In addition, Motorola's enterprise mobility solutions are demonstrated at two other zones that include Technology That's Second Nature and Enterprise Mobility.

Ruey-Bin Kao, President of Motorola China, says that through the Innovation Center, Motorola will help advance the ecosystem of innovation for the wireless communications industry in China. "This is a further demonstration of Motorola's commitment to continued investment in China in the development of next generation technologies," says Kao.

The Innovation Center in Beijing is Motorola's second in the Asia-Pacific region following the Innovation Center in Singapore established in 2007. These centers reflect Motorola's efforts and capabilities in innovation, research and development.

"Innovation is at the heart of Motorola as we are tirelessly developing technologies and solutions to connect people and information in new and compelling ways," says Dr. Ching Chuang, President of Motorola China Technology Ltd and Director of Motorola China R&D Institute. "China has become a leader of innovation for Motorola around the world. It is an important component in our global value chain. This Innovation Center represents Motorola's strong R&D pledge to China and to our Chinese customers."

Visitors to the Innovation Center will have the opportunity to experience Motorola's vision of "Media Mobility" that enhances personalized content access anytime anywhere backed by market leading home and personal multimedia platforms. It also demonstrates how Motorola, as a leader in 2G, 3G and 4G technologies, drives the mobile network evolution through IP migration and green concept adoption.

Demonstrations at the Innovation Center include:
- Media Mobility Solutions
- Content to the Consumer- Cable Access, IPTV, Location Based Services(LBS) and Media Mobility Showcase
- Broadband Everywhere - M-Commerce, LBS, GPON,WiMAX (Video Streaming, FTP, Web Browsing)and LTE
- Enterprise Mobility Solutions
- Technology That's Second Nature - Two-way Radios, Expedience and 350MHz TETRA
- Enterprise Mobility- RFID and Warehouse Management System(WMS)
