Isolated DC/DC Converter Measures 8.3x8.3x6.8mm

Measuring 8.3x 8.3x6.8mm, RECOM Electronic GmbH's RNM series of isolated DC/DC converter is said to be the smallest yet in the industry. Rated at 2kV DC, the device features 1W of output power, and input and output voltages available in any combination from 3.3V to 15V DC and 1kV DC or 2kV DC isolation.

The isolated DC/DC converter's ambient operating temperature covers the full industrial range of -40°C to 85°C without derating. It can also operate up to to 100°C ambient. Conversion efficiency is up to 84 percent and output ripple/noise is a respectable 100mVp-p.

The RNM converter is a fully tested and guaranteed component and has the EN-60950-1 safety certification (UL-60601-1 pending) so it can be equally well used in time-constrained projects where the power supply must work first time every time or in safety critical applications.
