LitePoint's IQmax/IQfact Successfully Test Fujitsu's Mobile WiMAX Reference Designs

(Business News & Technology News, 6 Nov 2008)

LitePoint Corp. has announced the successful testing of Fujitsu Microelectronics' Mobile WiMAX reference designs based on its WiMAX baseband and RF silicon solutions. The combination of LitePoint's IQmax WiMAX test system and IQfact IC-specific manufacturing test software provides an optimal WiMAX manufacturing test solution.

"We are clocking test times of 70s for Fujitsu's Mobile WiMAX PC Card reference design, and 165s for Fujitsu's Mobile WiMAX USB dongle reference design," says John Lukez, LitePoint's Director of Product Management. "So far that's twice as fast as the nearest alternative."

"Our WiMAX silicon solutions and reference designs enable OEMs and ODMs to develop industry-leading WiMAX products rapidly and cost-efficiently. In cooperation with LitePoint, we are also offering dependable, fast, and accurate manufacturing testing," says George Wu, Director of the ASSP Business Group at Fujitsu Microelectronics America.
