AirLive Announces New Firmware for Dual Radio Access Point

(Product News, 28 Aug 2008)

AirLive has announced the new "E18" firmware for the WLA-9000AP that will unleash the full power of the dual radio, dual band access point. The latest E18 firmware will give AirLive WLA-9000AP the edge over other access point as it now comes with 14 different operating modes, 10 more than its previous firmware. With new operating modes such as Separate Bridge, Gateway + WDS, WISP + AP, AP + Gateway among many others, AirLive WLA-9000AP is expected to fit into any network topologies no matter how complex the setup might be.

With the E18 firmware, AirLive also includes a brand new feature to the WLA-9000AP—the Wireless Duplex Mode, which will allow the product to combine two radios into one single high-speed link that is capable of a transfer rate as high as 60Mbps in real throughput.

Other advanced features include Multiple SSID to create different wireless networks, QoS to prioritize the different data packages, WPA2, WEP and WPA functions for secure connection, Client Isolation function and three programmable LAN ports available for multi-mode AP/Gateway configuration.
