GyPSii Announces Support for Intel-based Mobile Internet Devices

(Business News & Technology News, 25 Aug 2008)

GeoSentric Oyj's GeoSolutions BV Business Unit (GyPSii) is optimizing its social networking application for Moblin-based Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) based on Intel Atom processor Z5XX series.

The GyPSii application connects people and content to places and networks—from work to play to home—allowing users to share their real life experiences in the virtual world. It is the first application of its kind that enables people to record their life based on their location, bringing together new mobile lifestyle capabilities including User Generated Content, Locating Friends and Points of Interest—all in a single, easy-to-use interface.

In addition to Moblin based Linux OS, GyPSii supports MID running Windows XP and Windows Vista platforms.
