iPass and IIJ Partner for Mobile Broadband in Japan

(Top News, 15 Aug 2008)

iPass Inc. and Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ), one of Japan's leading internet access and network solution providers, have entered into a partnership agreement that will allow iPass to expand its Mobile Broadband service offering in Japan by adding the NTT DoCoMo and eMobile networks through IIJ's MVNO service. The iPass global customer base of over 3,500 enterprises, including more than 400 of the Forbes Global 2000, will now have an even greater choice of mobile connectivity in Japan.

Through this partnership, IIJ's MVNO service will enable iPass to offer Mobile Broadband services supported by HSDPA technology as new network options. iPass Mobile Broadband is an enhancement to the iPass Mobile Office service, which unifies the use and management of hundreds of remote and mobile networks, including mobile broadband in Asia, North America, and Europe, as well as Ethernet and dial-up connectivity options. With iPass Mobile Office, multi-national corporations can economically deliver mobile productivity to their employees around the world through a single service.
