Intrinsyc and NAVTEQ Sign Map Distribution Deal

(Business News & Technology News, 18 Jul 2008)

Intrinsyc Software International Inc. has signed a multi-year agreement establishing a sales relationship with NAVTEQ. The agreement will see NAVTEQ map content bundled with Intrinsyc navigation software. Intrinsyc recently purchased strategic assets of Destinator Technologies Inc., a provider of wireless software for global positioning system (GPS) devices and navigation software for wireless handsets.

The Intrinsyc-NAVTEQ relationship provides wireless device makers with a single source for NAVTEQ digital maps, Destinator navigation software, and the Soleus software platform for wireless handheld development. Device makers will further benefit from Intrinsyc's wireless engineering services, including systems integration, Board Support Package (BSP) development, and power management. And with NAVTEQ, end-users receive quality, comprehensive map data.
