Fairchild Semiconductor Receives Assodel's Best Manufacturer Award in Power Category

Fairchild Semiconductor has been awarded the 2008 Assodel Award in the power semiconductor category for the semiconductor manufacturer who has most remarkably differentiated and performed in the Italian market over the previous year.

"Fairchild was awarded this recognition due to their focus on developing solutions and products, both silicon and packaging, for efficient power management. They provided the commitment and attention to customers and partners and delivered innovative solutions for emerging applications, such as LED lighting and green power supplies, that are important to the Italian market," says Sandro Ghirardi, Assodel President and jury member for the Assodel Award.

The 2008 Assodel Awards recognize the best manufacturers and distributors of electronic components in Italy, and are based on the votes of 650 industry experts including designers, manufacturers, buyers and technical representatives. Assodel is the Italian Association of Electronic Distribution.
