COMMUNICASIA 2008: Symmatrix to Launch Energy Efficient Server

Symmatrix Pte Ltd will be launching its new line of GreenMatrix energy efficient server computer at the coming CommunicAsia 2008 trade show in Singapore, which will be held from June 17 to 20.

Symmatrix plans to promote the server to customers that are looking into ways to save energy. The server computer is designed using energy efficient CPU/processor, power-efficient solid state disk, small power supply, and small chassis form factor. The server computer supports all major operating systems such as Windows XP, Vista, Windows Server 2003, and Linux.

The server computer is suitable for clients that need to it to run 24/7 in the next three to five years with "reasonable" computing performance. Although the server computer is not meant to replace top range high-performance servers, GreenMatrix come complete with options such as RAID 0, 1, 5 storage, redundant power supplies, and other peripherals commonly found in high-end servers.
