COMMUNICASIA 2008: Datacall to Exhibit Latest Telemetry Solution

(Product News, 16 Jun 2008)

Datacall Telemetry, based in Tasmania, Australia and part of The Powercom Group, will be exhibiting the Datacall Telemetry System—a telemetry management system that monitors and controls remote systems for medium to large operators, at the coming CommunicAsia 2008 trade event in Singapore on June 17 to 20.

The Datacall Telemetry System is a powerful and versatile monitoring and control system in which the user can easily integrate to suit their needs, whether it is to monitor soil moisture, control irrigation systems, remote weather stations, or wirelessly monitor security systems.

The Datacall Gateway (the remote telemetry unit) provides a cost effective single box solution at the remote site and integrates with the company's Datacall Server, which provides a web-based graphical interface for the user to control and monitor their information.

The Datacall Telemetry System is unique from traditional telemetry systems. Datacall Gateway uses an integrated 2G/3G modem to provide broadband data access to remote locations. The 2G/3G access also allows the Datacall Gateway to send urgent alarms directly to operators using SMS text messaging. On board, Gateway is powered by a 32bit processor and contains Ethernet, USB support, 1-Wire, eight digital inputs, four digital outputs and four analog I/O.
