COMMUNICASIA 2008: MComms TV Develops Live Mobile TV Ad Insertion Technology for the Global Mobile TV Market

(Product News, 16 Jun 2008)

MComms TV, an Australian Mobile TV innovation company, has launched MComms Ad Insert, which enables advertisements to be incorporated into live Mobile TV streams and viewed on any handset with ease.

The take up of Mobile TV to date has been limited because consumers have been unwilling to pay subscription charges to watch TV on their mobile phone handsets. In recent months industry debate has led to the conclusion that advertising is the answer to funding Mobile TV channels. Free Mobile TV will open the flood gates; providing consumers access to a greater variety of content and allowing advertisers access to a new medium for promoting products and services.

MComms TV has developed a software-based solution that enables ads to be scheduled and inserted into live TV streams when and where required. MComms Ad Insert will be showcased at CommunicAsia 2008 in Singapore from June 17 to 20.
