COMMUNICASIA 2008: WiNetworks to Demonstrate 3.5GHz Nomadic WiMAX Solutions

(Product News, 12 Jun 2008)

WiNetworks will be demonstrating its Win-Max solution for nomadic WiMAX to laptop users via the WiN5700 PC Card at the coming CommunicAsia 2008 event on June 17 to 20, in Singapore, as well as in WiMAX Forum Global Congress, June 17 to 18, in Amsterdam. These demonstrations will be using the Win-Max WiN5700 PC Card in the 3.5GHz frequency, and are an exact replication of the already commercially deployed system working in several countries around the globe.

The WiN5700 is a high-performance mobile WiMAX data card that provides complete 802.16e mobile WiMAX broadband wireless access functionality to a range of personal computers. It provides high data throughput to business users who needs both bandwidth and mobility on the road. WiN5700 delivers up to 5Mbps throughput for best user experience.

WiNetworks' Win-Max solution is comprised of a fully compliant WiMAX 802.16e Wave 2 (MIMO) compact and newly launched pico base station, outdoor CPEs, indoor self install units, and PC cards. The WiN5700 PC Card is commercially available in the 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz frequencies.
