WebTech Wireless Launches Personal Locator

(Product News, 22 May 2008)

Location-based and fleet Telematics services provider WebTech Wireless Inc. has launched the WebTech Wireless Personal Locator (WT Personal Locator), a GPS personal tracking application designed to operate with Research In Motion's BlackBerry products, at Telematics Detroit, one of the mobile wireless industry's leading tradeshows.

The WT Personal Locator works with existing BlackBerry devices to provide vehicle fleet managers with smartphone tracking of individual operators, not just vehicles. This provides an ideal solution for companies that need to track the location and activity of workers who operate multiple vehicles. The WT Personal Locator provides a variety of information such as current position, travel history, starts/stops, distance travelled and speed. It also provides for increased employee safety through easier information exchange to and from the field. Extensive reports are accessible via WebTech Wireless' web-based, Quadrant system.
