Nu Horizons Electronics Adds Sales Offices in China, India and Vietnam

(Business News & Technology News, 21 May 2008)

Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. has opened several new sales locations in the Asia Pacific region. Located in Hangzhou, China; Chennai, India; and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the offices were opened as an additional level of support for Nu Horizons new and growing customer base within this region, and as part of the company's ongoing APAC expansion plans.

According to A.K. Tan, Regional Vice President of Greater China for Nu Horizons, Hangzhou is one of the most active and dynamic electronics hubs in China, and that adding sales and engineering resources in the region will enable Nu Horizons to better serve its customers in the Eastern China market.

"Chennai represents our fifth office within India," says S.P. Lim, Regional Vice President of South Asia for Nu Horizons. "Its addition will bring us closer to our existing customers as well as identify new growth opportunity in India."

"Nu Horizons has also strategically expanded our distribution business in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam," adds Lim. "Vietnam's attractions include a low-cost advantage coupled with favorable government policy, and it is believed to be the next emerging electronics market in Asia after China and India."
