Eye-Fi Launches New Family of Wireless SD Memory Cards

Eye-Fi Inc., maker of the world's first wireless SD memory card, has launched an extended product line-up designed to make photo sharing easier and meet the needs of individual users.
The three new wireless SD memory cards include: Eye-Fi Explore, which will automatically add geographic location tags to each photo and will allow users to upload their memories from Wi-Fi hotspots; the original Eye-Fi Card, now called Eye-Fi Share, designed for the photographer who wants to effortlessly upload images directly to their preferred photo sharing site in addition to their computer; and the Eye-Fi Home, aimed at users who want to simply and wirelessly upload digital memories to their home computer.
Eye-Fi Explore Eye-Fi Explore will automatically locate nearby Wi-Fi networks and add location tags to pictures using Skyhook's global Wi-Fi Positioning System. The new card will also allow users to upload their photos while away from home at more than 10,000 Wayport hotspots in the U.S.
Eye-Fi Share Eye-Fi Share includes unlimited, secure Web-sharing service that allows users to automatically upload photos directly to their preferred photo sharing, social networking or blogging site, using their home wireless network.
Eye-Fi Home Eye-Fi's new wireless card, Eye-Fi Home enables users to upload photos to their computer through their home Wi-Fi network. This card is designed for those who want to save the time and hassle of manually uploading photos via cables, cradles or card readers.
All the cards include 2GB of storage and are PC and Mac compatible.
