Wireless Matrix Partners with deCarta to Increase Mapping Capabilities for Mobile Resource Management

(Business News & Technology News, 6 May 2008)

Wireless Matrix Corp. has partnered with deCarta to increase its mapping capabilities within FleetOutlook, Wireless Matrix's flagship web application. Delivered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), FleetOutlook provides management and fleet operators 360-degree visibility into their operations via comprehensive reporting, exception-based alerts, nearest vehicle search, an interactive mapping interface and an open platform that allows seamless integration to third-party applications.

The upgrade of FleetOutlook to deCarta's Drill Down Server geospatial platform delivers optimized Mobile Resource Management mapping functions for higher end-user efficiency including:

- Enhanced Mapping
Improved labeling of map features such as states, cities and roads. A wider range of colors and shades highlight topographies and terrain.

- Improved Addressing
Greater precision in locating and displaying address information helps managers more accurately pinpoint a technician's location.

- Added Public Landmarks
