Airwave Wireless Launches Airwave Wireless Management Suite 6

(Product News, 29 Apr 2008)

AirWave Wireless has launched AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6 software, which delivers significant new features for the Help Desk, management of 802.11n networks, monitoring of wired networks, and viewing tens of thousands of wireless devices from a single console. A finalist for InformationWeek's Best of Interop 2008 network management award, AirWave Suite 6 is being used to manage the multi-vendor wireless LAN at this week's ongoing INTEROP Conference 2008 at the Mandalay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6 software features the following:
- 802.11n Management: Supports new 802.11n products from leading hardware providers, enabling the management of next-generation infrastructure from the same console used for the legacy wireless LAN;
- Wired and Wireless LAN Monitoring: Enhanced monitoring of routers, switches, authentication servers, and existing management servers to facilitate comprehensive network analysis and more accurate diagnostics;
- Dedicated Help Desk Views and Incident Management: Provides the Level One and Level Two Help Desk with automated diagnostics and the detailed information required to resolve end-user issues quickly and without escalation. Integrates with leading service desk solutions for seamless incident tracking and resolution;
- Enhanced AirWave Master Console: Provides centralized control and visibility for wireless networks with tens of thousands of wireless devices, whether on a single campus or distributed across the globe;
- Intelligent Capacity Planning: Offers a full set of reports and monitoring views to determine where the wireless network is approaching capacity so expansion can be managed intelligently and cost-effectively.

The AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6 is a finalist for InformationWeek's Best of Interop 2008 award. The software is available now and will be on demonstration in both the AirWave Wireless and Aruba Networks booths at INTEROP Las Vegas. The upgrade is available at no cost for existing AirWave customers enrolled in a support plan.
