Polycom Sponsors InteropNet for Second Year

Polycom Inc. has been selected, for the second year in a row, as an Official Network Provider for the InteropNet at Interop Las Vegas 2008. Teaming with Aruba Networks, Digium, and Ekahau, Polycom is deploying an end-to-end telephony voice over IP (VoIP) solution featuring Polycom's HD Voice line of SoundPoint and SoundStation IP phones and its SpectraLink 8000 Series wireless handsets. The SpectraLink handsets will provide seamless Wi-Fi communications for the tradeshow's demanding wireless environment. In addition, Polycom is also providing HDX 8000 high-definition telepresence solutions for the Interop Labs network, allowing people to participate in the InteropLabs workshops from the expo floor.

The InteropNet is built in collaboration with leading vendors utilizing hand-selected products that can support a wide range of applications and connectivity services including voice, video and data for over 18,000 attendees and 500 exhibitors. The InteropNet represents the most demanding network environment and is a real-world demonstration of optimum business IT performance and integration. Interop Las Vegas is currently running this week at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
