ARC Wireless Launches Freedom Blade

(Product News, 8 Apr 2008)

ARC Wireless Solutions Inc.'s Wireless Communications Solutions Division has announced that the Freedom Blade and supporting Freedom Clip Pack are now available. The Freedom Blade, whose prototypes were first introduced at the 2008 International CES Trade Show in Las Vegas, last January 2008, is the natural progression from the Freedom Antenna. It is the sleeker, more compact wireless signal booster that uses the same patented technology as the Freedom Antenna. While the Freedom Blade works with numerous cell phones and PDAs, it also works with many laptop air cards. Laptop sales in 2007 were up 31 percent to 31.6 million laptops sold in the US alone. With laptops becoming more affordable and the amount of people traveling for business and pleasure, the Freedom Blade is the perfect accessory for those areas where the wireless signal is not as strong. The Freedom Blade has a frequency range of 800MHz to 3GHz so it covers International frequency bands as well.

The Freedom Blade comes with a stable desktop base so it can stand on its own or there is a Freedom Clip Pack available, which works with both the Freedom Blade and the Freedom Antenna. The Freedom Clip Pack includes two clips: one for the laptop and one that clips onto the car vent.
