FCI Microconnections to Highlight RFID Antenna Technologies, Smart Card Solutions at Cards Asia in Singapore

(Business News & Technology News, 4 Apr 2008)

Preparing to tap into the highly promising market of mobile payment, FCI Microconnections is currently working on three different RFID antenna technologies targeted at this application: NFC (flexible reader antenna), flexible antenna connected to Dual-Interface SIM, and Contactless SIM in collaboration with major customers.

Further on innovation, FCI Smartag, FCI Microconnections' offshoot that specializes in producing HF and UHF RFID inlays and smart tags, will present RFID X-range CD/DVD labels and books labels. These RFID labels are primarily destined for the library and archiving sectors, enabling easy tracking and identification.

The second market in asset tracking that is targeted by FCI Smartag is the cosmetics and pharmaceutical sector, for which it has designed miniature labels used in applications where size constraints and geometry is critical.

FCI Microconnections Division will be exhibiting its latest range of products for smart card and RFID applications at the coming Cards Asia show in Singapore next week.
