MTI Wireless' Dual Slant Base Station Antennas Designed for Mobile WiMAX MIMO Solutions

(Top News, 26 Mar 2008)

MTI Wireless Edge Ltd has launched 65-degrees Dual Slant base station antennas for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications antennas for Mobile WiMAX systems in the 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz bands. This new range of BTS antennas for 2.3GHz-2.7GHz and 3.3GHz-3.8GHz applications includes relatively small size 17dBi dual slant 65 degree antennas suitable for use in WiMAX MIMO systems. MTI will showcase these antennas at the CTIA WIRELESS 2008 show in Las Vegas on April 1 to 3, along with its large offering of flat panel antennas for fixed broadband wireless access and RFID.

"We continue with our efforts in MIMO as an important approach in meeting mobile WiMAX system challenges. These antennas will enable improvements in the system performance while reducing the costs with smaller effect on real estate value and the environment," says Dov Feiner, CEO and President, MTI.

MTI's MIMO antennas, enabling the use of multiple antennas at both the subscriber and base station, is set to provide a high performance, cost effective solution for dealing with the challenges presented by mobile WiMAX systems. Currently the company provides MIMO solutions for fixed and mobile WiMAX to various key players in the WiMAX market.
