(Business News & Technology News, 13 Mar 2008)

Ericsson has developed ground breaking technology that will enable auction winners in the US to rapidly deploy advanced mobile networks in the 700MHz spectrum. Ericsson's solutions will allow the US 700MHz auction winners to deliver ubiquitous mobile data and enriched multimedia experiences to demanding customers at broadband speeds. The Ericsson mobile broadband solution will offer a full suite of infrastructure, device platforms, applications and services.

HSPA is currently delivering mobile broadband to millions of users across diverse global spectrum bands and Ericsson supports the deployment with infrastructure and device platforms. Ericsson is driving the further development of HSPA and is now expanding to support deployments in the 700MHz band.

LTE is gaining significant global momentum as the technology of choice for scalable bandwidth and flexible deployment modes with backward capability for all current mobile technologies. Ericsson's solution for LTE in 700MHz covers infrastructure and device platforms. The company's LTE chipset and software solution for 700MHz devices is already in development and will be available in mid-2009.

Ericsson will support operators and public safety users with market leading professional services covering network design, network deployment, systems integration and interoperability expertise.
