Test Equipment Combines LTE Network Monitoring, Simulation
( 1 Mar 2008 )
NetHawk has developed what it claims to be the industry's first combined LTE testing solution for network monitoring, simulation and load testing. The new LTE testing solutions, based on NetHawk's M5 Analyser and EAST Simulator product platforms, is an easily scalable platform to be used both in functional and load testing. In functional testing it can simulate all the functionality of the LTE network elements. In load testing, NetHawk EAST LTE Simulator simulates the heavy load of control plane and user plane traffic.
NetHawk EAST LTE multi-interface functionality also supports wrap-around testing of eNB, MMe and S-GW network elements. Within this EAST LTE Simulator launch NetHawk introduces the new Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA). ATCA and multi-core Network Processing Unit (NPU) offer a scaleable hardware platform for NetHawk EAST LTE Simulator with high capacity and reliability.
The new release of NetHawk M5 Analyser provides full decoding support, detailed level analysis, and comprehensive call trace applications for all LTE interfaces. NetHawk M5's multi-technology testing capabilities provide real-time tracing and correlation between the different network interfaces and different technologies.
