802.11n USB Single Chip Designed for PCs, Client Devices

( 1 Mar 2008 )

Ralink Technology Corp. has released the RT3070, an 802.11n USB single chip for PCs, AP/routers and client devices. The RT3070 is claimed to be the industry's smallest 802.11n USB single chip, available in a 9x9mm QFN 76-pin package. The high integration and low-cost digital CMOS design makes this chip ideal for the next generation of consumer electronics, broadband and PC desktop WLAN solutions.

The RT3070 features high throughput and extended range for a single antenna. It is available in single band frequency (2.4GHz) and supports security with WPA, WPA2, Wi-Fi Protected Set-Up and QoS (802.11e and WMM), which offer a rich feature set to support voice and video.
