Linear Technology's Low-noise ADC Features 81.2dB SNR
(Product News, 27 Feb 2008)
Linear Technology Corp.'s LTC2217 16-bit, 105Msps analog-to-digital converter (ADC) features a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 81.2dBFS and spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) 100dBc. Sampling at 105Msps, the device consumes 1.19W and can interface to variety of digital systems with multiple digital output modes. Ultra-low jitter helps maintain high SNR at high input frequencies, yielding 80.4dBFS SNR at 70MHz, while the high linearity sample/hold circuitry allows for low distortion of 92dBFS at 70MHz.
Available in a 9x9mm QFN package, the device also features a separate output power supply, which enables CMOS output swing to be as low as 0.5V.
