PCTEL Launches TD-SCDMA-GSM/EDGE Scanning Receiver

(Product News, 21 Feb 2008)

PCTEL Inc. has lauched the TD-SCDMA-GSM/EDGE SeeGull EX Scanning Receiver, which supports concurrent measurements for the new Chinese 3G standard as well as for GSM/EDGE in the 1800MHz and 900MHz frequency bands. In addition to the GSM/EDGE performance and features such as BSIC and BCCH decoding, China can now benefit from PCTEL's leading edge scanning technology for TD-SCDMA.

The SeeGull scanning receiver product line includes solutions covering all major wide-area wireless technologies, including WCDMA/GSM, CDMA/EV-DO, TD-SCDMA, and WiMAX, as well as solutions for indoor coverage planning. The accuracy and reliability of SeeGull measurements make this data ideal for use in RF propagation management, frequency allocation, and other cell planning applications.
