Rohde & Schwarz's Latest Microwave Spectrum Analyzer Capable to 18GHz

(Product News, 19 Feb 2008)

Rohde & Schwarz's (R&S) portable R&S FSL18 microwave spectrum analyzer features a frequency range of 9kHz to 18GHz, and can perform measurements on microwave systems including radar and microwave link systems as well as production tests on microwave components such as mixers and amplifiers.

Featuring a large I/Q demodulation bandwidth of 28MHz and extensive software capabilities, the new spectrum analyzer supports the WLAN, WiMAX and WCDMA standards. The product has an overall measurement uncertainty of <1.2dB at 18GHz and resolution bandwidths (RBW) from 1Hz to 10MHz (20MHz at zero span). When equipped with the R&S FSL-K9 option, the R&S FSL supports the direct connection of power sensors from the R&S NRP family—thereby increasing the accuracy of the measurements and eliminating the need for an extra power meter.
