WiMAX Forum Selects TTC-CCS as Second Designated Certification Lab in Taiwan

The WiMAX Forum has selected TTC-CCS as the second designated certification lab in Taiwan for both Fixed WiMAX and Mobile WiMAX certification services. AT4 wireless, the WiMAX Forum's lead certification vendor, will facilitate the set up of the laboratory by the second half of 2008 to run similar services to all the WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Laboratory (WFDCL) sites.

TTC-CCS is a cooperation of two experienced testing labs, TTC and CCS, that work in the areas of EMC, RF, TELECOM, SAFETY, DTV, and, now, WiMAX technology. It also offers a wide range of services including NCC testing and certification services.

Taiwan is directly involved in the WiMAX industry through the creation of a dedicated ecosystem to speed up the development, manufacturing and marketing of WiMAX technology as well as the development and implementation of the M-Taiwan program.

The WiMAX Forum has six certification test labs located in the U.S., Europe, China, Korea and, now, two in Taiwan. It intends to open an additional lab in India this year.
