Agilent Technologies Adds WiMAX Software to its Signaling Analyzer Products

(Product News, 14 Feb 2008)

Agilent Technologies Inc. has integrated the industry's most powerful and easy-to-use WiMAX analysis software to its signaling analyzer platform. Using this software and platform, service providers and network equipment manufacturers will be able to accelerate the development and deployment of WiMAX networks.

Mobile WiMAX, regarded as one of key technology options of third-generation (3G) and fourth-generation (4G) mobile networks, where voice, video and data services all reside in one high-speed, spread-spectrum radio access network, requires a new generation of protocol analyzers to satisfy the new requirements of monitoring ASN (Access Service Network) and CSN (Connectivity Service Network). Agilent's family of signaling analyzers is designed to solve these higher intelligence and performance needs.

The Agilent J7910A signaling analyzer WiMAX solution offers a breakthrough in troubleshooting methodology with a high-performance, client server, multi-user architecture, and seamless drill down from statistics and call traces, to messages and decodes. The solution allows full and uniform testing of network and individual call performance across all key interfaces of a Mobile WiMAX network, including R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R8 interfaces. The signaling analyzer WiMAX solutions allow users to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot, optimize performance benchmark, plan, install, and maintain WiMAX networks.
