Alcatel-Lucent Expands Technical Support for IP Transformation Services in Asia-Pacific with a New Center of Excellence

(Business News & Technology News, 14 Feb 2008)

Alcatel-Lucent is opening a Centre of Excellence (COE) for Internet Protocol (IP) Transformation (IPT COE) in Kuala Lumpur to reinforce its technical support for carriers in the Asia Pacific region.

By investing in an IPT COE in Malaysia, Alcatel-Lucent will be better able to meet the needs of carriers and large industry and public sector enterprises that are transforming their networks to all internet protocol.

Composed of 30 skilled, experienced Malaysian experts and relying on field-proven methodologies and tools, this latest addition to Alcatel-Lucent's Global Competency Centers supports Alcatel-Lucent's strategy in addressing the IP-based network and service transformation challenges faced by carriers in the Asia-Pacific region. This center will expand Alcatel-Lucent's current Mobile Network Engineering COE established in Malaysia in 2004 and the Singapore IP Transformation Center.
