ZTE Selects Red Bend Software for Mobile Software Management in WiMAX Devices

Red Bend Software has been selected by ZTE Corp. to provide device management and firmware over-the-air updating software for ZTE's mobile PC modem and home gateway modems for WiMAX networks. The agreement marks the first time that Red Bend's market-leading mobile software management solutions will be used in WiMAX devices.

Red Bend's vCurrent Mobile for firmware updates and vDirect Mobile for device management enable operators to provision configuration settings, perform software maintenance and deploy new features to mobile devices over-the-air. Operators benefit by reducing customer support costs, avoiding product recalls and improving consumer satisfaction with their mobile services.
