NEC Electronics to Team with Intel to Develop Power Management IC Solution for Mobile Internet Devices

NEC Electronics Corp. and its U.S. subsidiary NEC Electronics America Inc. have teamed with Intel Corp. to develop a power management IC (PMIC) solution optimized for mobile Internet devices (MIDs). The highly integrated PMIC solution will combine power management, logic, audio and communications functions.

Initial samples of NEC Electronics' power management ICs are expected to be available in Q3 of 2008.
