NetHawk Release Combined Solution for LTE Network Monitoring, Simulation and Load Testing

(Product News, 29 Jan 2008)

NetHawk will be launching what it claims to be the industry's first combined LTE testing solution for network monitoring, simulation and load testing at the Barcelona Mobile World Congress 2008.

The new LTE testing solutions, based on NetHawk's M5 Analyser and EAST Simulator product platforms, is an easily scalable platform to be used both in functional and load testing. In functional testing it can simulate all the functionality of the LTE network elements. In load testing, NetHawk EAST LTE Simulator simulates the heavy load of control plane and user plane traffic. NetHawk EAST LTE multi-interface functionality also supports Wrap-around testing of eNB, MMe and S-GW network elements. Within this EAST LTE Simulator launch NetHawk introduces the new Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture(ATCA), which is a new high-performance platform for telecom and computing applications. ATCA and multi-core Network Processing Unit (NPU) offer a scaleable hardware platform for NetHawk EAST LTE Simulator with high capacity and reliability. This further increases the simulation performance and turns the NetHawk EAST LTE Simulator into a powerful, comprehensive and scalable conformance and load testing tool on the market.

The new release of NetHawk M5 Analyser provides full decoding support, detailed level analysis, and comprehensive call trace applications for all LTE interfaces. NetHawk M5's unique multi-technology testing capabilities provide real-time tracing and correlation between the different network interfaces and different technologies.
