WiChorus and Aptilo Networks Announce Successful Completion of WiMAX Interoperability Testing

(Business News & Technology News, 24 Jan 2008)

WiChorus and Aptilo Networks have completed interoperability testing (IOT) of WiChorus' Intelligent ASN Gateway with Aptilo's WiMAX CSN (Connectivity Service Network) System, an integrated solution for standards-compliant Mobile WiMAX AAA and Service Control. Testing of the WiChorus and Aptilo products was based on the WiMAX Forum's NWG 1.0.0 specification. Successful interoperability demonstrates a significant step toward an open WiMAX ecosystem that promises greater flexibility for mobile operators and increased innovation and growth for the market as a whole.

The testing was completed under WiChorus' One Open WiMAX interoperability program and Aptilo's WiMAX Multivendor ASN Interoperability Testing (MAIT) program. Both initiatives leverage testing to accelerate interoperability and promote open standards in the WiMAX ecosystem.
