Anritsu Enhances Capability of Its Microwave Spectrum Analyzers

(Product News, 24 Jan 2008)

Anritsu Co. has enhanced its MS271xB family so that the economy microwave spectrum analyzers now provide specialized demodulation hardware and pre-written test routines for the following wireless system configurations: fixed and Mobile WiMAX, W-CDMA/HSDPA, cdmaOne, CDMA2000, EVDO, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE. Covering 9kHz to 7.1GHz, 13GHz, and 20GHz, and featuring improved dynamic range and phase noise, the MS271xB family can quickly and precisely measure wireless components to increase production yields and lower cost-of-test.

Thirteen new measurement options are now available for the MS271xB family. The options cover RF measurement and demodulation, and are software test programs with pre-written test routines. Ease of use has also been improved with the MS271xB family. A new Limit-Line creation capability has been added to the Anritsu Master Software Tools, enabling the user to create and modify display limit lines, make changes or compare them to actual signals. A Broadcast Spectrum limit version is available for transmitter testing to FCC standards.

Compactly designed, the MS271xB family measures only 242x372x339mm and weighs 5.6kg. The analyzers have 256MB compact flash drive, 2GB USB flash drive, Ethernet, and USB2.0 connectivity to archive setups, update firmware, and transfer results.
