Infocomm Singapore Overall Winner at APICTA Awards 2008

Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) submitted 20 nominations from 16 companies to compete at this year's Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Out of the 126 nominations received for the 16 categories from 11 member-economies, APICTA Team Singapore performed outstandingly well, bagging three Major and six Merit Awards.
The nine Singapore companies were presented the APICTA Awards, the highest accolade for infocomm innovation in Asia-Pacific for its recognition in innovative Research & Development, e-Learning, e-Inclusion & e-Community, Security Applications, e-Logistic & Supply Chain Management, Communications Applications, and Secondary Student project. The companies received the awards from H.E. Jusuf Kalla, Vice President of Indonesia, at the gala dinner and award ceremony held at the Bapindo Plaza on 15 November 2008.
APICTA Awards is a prominent Asia Pacific Information and Communications Technology (ICT) event hosted by member-economies annually. This annual event provides a platform for recognising innovators and entrepreneurs in the ICT sectors. It also allows participants the opportunity to benchmark their products and innovations with regional ICT companies. It further spurs economic and trade relations, technology transfers, business matching opportunities, and provides a compelling show case for new and innovative ICT products and innovations in the Asia-Pacific region.
