Agilent Technologies Wins Korean-based Telecom Contract for Mobile WiMAX Protocol Conformance Test

The Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA)Asia's leading test and certification institutionawarded Agilent Technologies Inc. a contract for Mobile WiMAX Protocol Conformance Test (PCT). TTA provides Mobile WiMAX testing and certification services to the international community and will employ Agilent's N6430A Mobile WiMAX PCT and development system in its base and mobile station test solution.
Agilent's N6430A PCT solution delivers a comprehensive suite of test solutions for 802.16-2004/Cor2 D3 Mobile WiMAX PCT and development testing, with a scripting interface to a fully functional radio bearer. The Agilent E6651A portfolio of solutions supports multiple R&D testing needs in addition to PCT, including base-station emulation, RF parametric measurements and Radiated Performance Testing (RPT).
The TTA is a Korean-based, IT-standards organization that develops new standards and provides one-stop services such as testing and certification for IT products. It is one of the leading partners of the WIMAX Forum and was the first institution in Asia to qualify as an international certification testing center. In November 2006, the TTA was assigned as a WiMAX Forum Designated Certification Laboratory (WFDCL), the second institution in the world to obtain the WFDCL operation contract. Under the WFDCL contract, the TTA can officially provide Mobile WiMAX testing and certification to the international community. TTA tested products will feature the internationally certified test result as well as the certification symbol.
