Miniature Bipolar Transistors Available in SOT23FF Package

( 1 Jan 2008 )

Now available in the SOT23FF package, Zetex Semiconductors' miniature bipolar NPN and PNP transistors are well suited for MOSFET gate driving in newer power supplies. The transistors provide lower saturation voltage, higher current gain hold-up, improved circuit efficiency and cooler operation. The footprint measures 2.5x3mm, with an off-board height of 1mm.

Operating from 20V through 100V, the transistors drive MOSFET gates faster and more efficiently than CMOS IC alternatives. The ZXTN19020CFF and ZXTP19020CFF 20V transistors have guaranteed gains of 100 at 7A and 110 at 5A, respectively. When connected in a common emitter configuration, they provide extremely fast switching: propagation times are less than 2ns, and rise and fall times are 10ns to 20ns. Thermal resistance figures are as low as 83ˇăC/W, with a 1.5W continuous rating. Immune to latch-up, the transistors offer an improvement in overall system reliability.
