AT4 Wireless and Sequans Collaborate to Deliver Testing Services for Wave 2 Mobile WiMAX

(Business News & Technology News, 17 Dec 2007)

AT4 wireless and Sequans recently have entered into a technology partnership to deliver WiMAX testing services and technology.

The partnership calls for Sequans and AT4 wireless (through its Systems Division) to cooperate on Mobile WiMAX Wave 2 radio testing to accelerate delivery of their respective solutions. Sequans will provide AT4 wireless with early access to its newest WiMAX semiconductor solutions and reference designs, which AT4 wireless will use for the ongoing verification of its WiMAX Radio Test Platform, MINT T2110, a tester specifically designed to meet the requirements of the WiMAX MRCT test specification.

Radio conformance testing is mandatory when certifying Mobile WiMAX mobile stations and base stations, and MINT T2110 is the system designated by the WiMAX Forum for such testing. The Sequans/AT4 wireless collaboration ensures that AT4 wireless' platform is one of the leading WiMAX test platforms and ensures that Sequans' products perform as required by the WiMAX specifications.

The MINT T2110 platform covers the official test cases for radio certification according to the WiMAX Mobile Radio Test Specification and supports the profiles defined by the WiMAX Forum in 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz and 3.5GHz. MINT T2110 exactly meets the needs of manufacturers, test houses and operators for conformance, pre-compliance and R&D radio testing.
