RF Monolithics and Cirronet Expand China Sales and Distribution Through Agreement with Comtech Communications

RF Monolithics Inc. recently announced a new distribution agreement with Comtech Communications Technology as its authorized distributor in China for the RFM component products and its subsidiary Cirronet wireless sensor networking modules and devices. RFM and Cirronet will draw on Comtech's strong technical product knowledge, experienced sales staff, and eight sales offices strategically placed in all major markets to gain access to major industry leaders in the electronics space.

Comtech currently has stock available for the broad selection of RFM and Cirronet developer kits and evaluation boards which help original equipment manufacturer (OEM) design engineers speed up development time for enabling ultra-low power wireless connectivity in OEM equipment.

Highlights of kits include:
- Cirronet modules and standalone devices ranging from 434MHz to 2.5GHz with data rates from 9.6kbps to 1.2Mbps based on ZigBee, 802.15.4, 802.11, Bluetooth and Cirronet proprietary FHSS, DSSS and mesh technologies.
- RFM short-range radio transceiver, transmitter and receiver products covering 300MHz-1GHz with data rates up to 1Mpbs, including 3G and 2G Virtual Wire Transceivers and RFIC transmitters and receivers.
- RFM SAW-based components and frequency control products ranging from 6MHz to 2.6GHz that are small size and low cost with very low power consumption, including SAW resonators, SAW narrow band filters, SAW RF and IF filters, oscillators, clocks and crystals.
