Sybase iAnywhere Delivers Advanced Wireless Email and Collaboration Support for IBM Lotus Domino 8

(Product News, 19 Sep 2007)

Sybase iAnywhere's Information Anywhere suite, which provides secure wireless email and collaboration capabilities, now supports the just-launched IBM Lotus Domino 8 platform. Sybase iAnywhere proven mobile software has been enhanced to enable enterprises to take advantage of the latest Lotus Domino server features on Windows Mobile, Symbian and Palm OS handheld devices.

The Information Anywhere suite is a platform that addresses converging enterprise requirements for mobile email, messaging, security, device management and enterprise applications. Enhancements for Lotus Domino 8 support include: the ability to take a photo using a mobile device, attach it to a contact and synchronize information so it appears in the Lotus Address Book; and new calendaring functionality that shows "tentative" meetings on a calendar that can be pushed to a mobile device. In addition, the mobile instant messaging client provides enhanced integration with Sybase wireless email and security components for optimized battery performance and enhanced usability.
