StarHub Enhances and Advances Data Integration Across Enterprise with Informatica PowerCenter 8 Advanced Edition

(Business News & Technology News, 7 Sep 2007)

StarHub Ltd, Singapore's second largest info-communications company, has selected Informatica Corp.'s PowerCenter 8 Advanced Edition to enhance and advance data integration throughout its business.

StarHub chose Informatica for its ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and to reduce costs involved in accessing and integrating data. Informatica PowerCenter is a single, unified enterprise data integration platform that allows companies and government organizations of all sizes to access, discover, and integrate data from virtually any business system, in any format, and deliver that data throughout the enterprise at any speed. Using Informatica, organizations can increase their access to data and therefore derive higher levels of business value from all their data so that they can reduce IT costs and complexity, streamline business operations and processes and drive revenue growth.

Prior to implementing an Integration Competency Center (ICC), which helped StarHub's smooth transition to Informatica PowerCenter, StarHub's data integration and data warehouses projects were carried out in silos. The implementation of StarHub's Integration Competency Center, based on Informatica PowerCenter, optimizes the company's data integration effort and creates best practices, processes and expertise so that StarHub could effectively leverage existing infrastructure while maximizing the industry-leading data integration technology across the business.
