LitePoint Enjoys Another Record Quarter

(Business News & Technology News, 6 Sep 2007)

Wireless test system solutions provider LitePoint Corp. achieved a second successive record quarter in Q2 2007. "The final results are in, and we're right on plan," said Qing Lu, LitePoint's Vice President of Finance. "The quarter just ended exceeded Q1 by 47 percent, and exceeded Q2 2006 by 131 percent," Lu stated.

LitePoint focuses entirely on the wireless market serving IC makers, ODMs, OEMs and brand-owning companies. Its common-platform systems, using software-defined DSP technology, offer tailored and efficient testing that spans the wireless value chain.

Founded in 2000, LitePoint has had an uninterrupted sequence of profitable quarters in the $500 million market for testing Wi-Fi devices. Its new products expand LitePoint's testing capabilities with WiMAX, WiMedia, Bluetooth and ZigBee. As the wireless test market begins serving a converged wireless market in the next two years, the sales opportunity is expected to quadruple. "We will continue to do what we have always done—offer system-level test solutions for the latest wireless standards—and do it first," said Benny Madsen, LitePoint's CEO. "That approach has served us well."
