Agilent Launches Network Tester

Agilent Technologies has announced the model of its Network Tester Layer 4-7. Network equipment manufacturers and service providers can use the Agilent Network Tester to validate the real-world performance and scalability of network infrastructure equipment and ensure the security and availability of network services.

The Network Tester Layer 4-7 validates real-world performance and scalability of network infrastructure equipment and ensures security/availability of network services. With traffic-generation capacity and support for 21 protocols, solution enables network security, performance, and stress testing. Users can also simulate millions of real network clients while executing realistic application transactions as well as network attacks, malicious exploits, and traffic impairments.

The Agilent N4192A Network Tester is available now. Pricing starts at approximately $30,000 for a high-performance traffic module equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet test ports.
