Ambit Microsystems Releases First Approved Wireless EMTA to North America Cable Providers
(Product News, 13 Jun 2007)
Ambit, a worldwide provider of innovative and affordable broadband products, today announced that its Wireless Embedded-Multimedia Terminal Adapter (EMTA) has been approved for deployment in North America.
The Ambit U10C022 Wireless EMTA integrates Ambit's proven technologies into one "Triple Play" product. The device includes all of the features that are part of Ambit's top selling Cable Router, Wireless Gateway, and Residential EMTA. This allows cable operators to deliver a variety of services over one device, enabling operators to achieve additional revenues with less capital cost. The Wireless EMTA is available today for deployment.
Ambit's Wireless EMTA was subjected to extensive real-world and lab environments, ensuring interoperability with head-ends, call agents, handsets, and wireless devices. "Ambit was among the first to release the Wireless EMTA to the industry and we're honored to be the first vendor in the world to deploy with a major North American cable operator," stated Max Cangelosi, Vice President of Product Development at Ambit Microsystems. "We have years of experience in the Commercial, Wireless, and VoIP space and we believe the experience helped us lead the way in providing an integrated solution that allows MSOs to generate additional revenue while providing subscribers with a richer user experience."
