RFMD to showcase its industry-leading product portfolio of wireless solutions at CTIA WIRELESS 2007

(Product News, 27 Mar 2007)

RF Micro Devices Inc. will showcase its latest innovative wireless solutions at CTIA WIRELESS 2007 in Orlando, Florida on March 27-29. RFMD's portfolio of highly integrated RF components and system solutions includes its industry-leading transmit modules and power amplifiers (PAs) for GSM/GPRS, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA and WCDMA handsets, the company's pioneering POLARIS TOTAL RADIO transceiver solutions for GSM/GPRS and GSM/GPRS/EDGE handsets, and its wireless LAN (WLAN) and advanced GPS solutions.

RFMD is the world's leading supplier of PAs for the 3G WCDMA air interface standard, which the company expects will grow approximately five times faster than the overall cellular handset market in 2007. RFMD is also the leading supplier of both PAs and merchant market transceivers for the EDGE air interface standard, which the company forecasts will grow by greater than 50 percent in 2007.

RFMD will showcase the following innovative wireless solutions at CTIA:

- POLARIS TOTAL RADIO transceiver solutions for GSM/GPRS and GSM/GPRS/EDGE, including the world's smallest POLARIS 3 solution with its antenna-to-baseband TOTAL RADIO implementation

- Industry-leading transmit modules and PAs for GSM/GPRS and GSM/GPRS/EDGE (both linear and large signal polar modulation), as well as high-power, high-efficiency linear PAs for UMTS and WCDMA applications covering all 3G requirements

- WLAN PAs and front-end modules for 802.11a/b/g and 802.11n applications in cellular handsets, consumer electronics, PCs and access points

- RFMD GPST RF8110 software-based GPS solution for feature-rich smartphones, wireless PDAs and other mobile devices
