Alereon Inc. and Stonestreet One Inc. announce a wireless USB solution for Microsoft Windows Mobile and Windows CE embedded platforms. The solution consists of the Alereon AL4000 Wireless USB chipset, including the newly introduced AL4300 Wireless USB Media Access Controller/BaseBand Processor powered by Stonestreet One’s UltraSuite for Windows Mobile software and device drivers. Consumer and mobile electronics OEM devices which support compact flash (CF) and SDIO interfaces using Microsoft Windows Mobile Edition can now incorporate this advanced highspeed wireless technology and connect with both legacy wired USB and Certified Wireless USB equipment and platforms.
