Sarantel's GPS antenna selected for Jaty Electronics' GPS mobile phones

(Business News & Technology News, 27 Feb 2007)

Sarantel's GeoHelix GPS antennas have been selected for the Jaty L2000 GPS mobile phones. The L2000 will be available in the Spring from LG Telecom. It combines a multitude of leisure activities for the active user including GPS navigation, mountain navigation, sea navigation, golf rangefinder, electronic dictionary, stock trading, T-DMB mobile television, MP3 playback and an innovative "find-a-friend" feature. The filtering characteristics of the GeoHelix antenna allow it to be integrated in close proximity to the CDMA antenna, which has the benefit of saving space.

Kevin Kim, Director of Jaty Electronics, commented: "The L2000 is proof that combining GPS, CDMA and T-DMB need not compromise size or performance in a phone. It is a compact and feature-rich phone that also offers superior navigation."
